Using O2 as its network provider, Tesco Mobile offers decent coverage and download speeds, but does Tesco Mobile offer Wi-Fi calling & 4G Calling?
While Tesco Mobile piggybacks on O2’s network and even offers 5G data speeds to its customers, there are some key features the network is missing. Unfortunately on Tesco Mobile Wi-Fi Calling is not available & neither is 4G calling. Tesco Mobile customers also miss out on O2’s free Wi-Fi hotspots in over 16,000 locations in the UK.
4G Calling (also known as VoLTE) is a great feature, which eliminates indoor blackspots so you can stay connected in more places and make calls over 4G. This feature also provides clearer and higher quality calls. Wi-Fi Calling allows you to make & receive calls, even when you’re not getting any phone signal by letting you use a Wi-Fi connection instead of your cellular network. These two features improve your voice call quality and keep you connected in more places. We don’t know if Tesco Mobile will offer 4G Calling & Wi-Fi Calling to its customers, but we know that many MVNOs skip on these features to provide competitive prices.
